Datin Mina Cheah Kim Choo
Executive Director / Managing Director

Qualification:

Datin Mina graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Computational Science and Management Studies from University of Leeds, UK in 1982.

Experience:

Datin Mina has more than 30 years of experience, both in retail as well as the cosmetics and toiletries industry. She is instrumental in providing strategic vision and growth strategies to our Group as well as ensuring the successful implementation of our Group’s strategy and growth plans. Upon her return to Malaysia in 1982, she worked at Hewlett Packard from 1983 to 1984 as a Systems Engineer before starting The Body Shop franchise business in West Malaysia when she opened the first The Body Shop point-of-sale in December 1984. Since then, she has grown our Group from a single store to a multi-million ringgit business. She continues to actively shape the strategic direction and development of our Group’s business, and promote the Group’s values on environment, human rights and women’s rights.

Datin Mina was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Malaysian AIDS Foundation from 2000 to 2012 and held the position of Honorary Secretary from 2006 until 2012. She was invited to participate in the Malaysian Government Transformation Programme in 2012 and became the Laboratory Leader who was instrumental in developing the National Key Economic Areas for Wholesale and Retail. She is currently the Honorary Auditor for the Bukit Bintang Kuala Lumpur City Centre Tourism Association, a position she held since 2017.

Datin Mina accepted the Prime Minister’s Corporate Social Responsibility Award on behalf of Rampai-Niaga in 2007 for its outstanding work in the small company category and again in 2009 for the contributions made towards the empowerment of women. In 2014, Forbes named Datin Mina as one of its ‘Heroes of Philanthropy’. More recently, her contributions were again recognised when she was honoured with the Patron’s award at the Malaysian AIDS Foundation Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Award 2018 for her dedicated long service with the Malaysian AIDS Foundation. Her corporate philosophy of active citizenship and community care is evident in the campaigns that our Group has initiated and it exemplifies her belief of “business as a force for good”.

In the last 10 years, Datin Mina climbed to Base Camp Everest, summited Mount Kilimanjaro, trekked along the Kalahari Desert and rafted through 41 rapids on the Zambesi River. These achievements demonstrate Datin Mina’s entrepreneurial character in taking up new challenges, and steadfast leadership of our Group.

Molly Fong Hui Sain
Executive Director

Qualification:

Molly Fong Hui Sain (“Molly”) was appointed to the Board on 27 February 2019. She obtained her General Certificate of Education Advanced Level in 1990 and subsequently she pursued the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (“ICSA”) programme and was admitted to the ICSA in 1999. She also obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Nottingham, UK, in 2013. She was named the University of Nottingham - Malaysia Campus 2013 “Alumnus of the Year” at the Alumni Laureate Award ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur in 2013. Molly has served on the MBA Advisory Board of Nottingham University Business School since September 2019.

Experience:

Molly joined Rampai-Niaga as a Communications Executive in 1995, and thereafter was promoted multiple times as she expanded her role to other areas of the business, until she was appointed General Manager in 2003. As Molly continued to lead our talented and committed team in growing the business in Malaysia, Molly also spearheaded our Group’s expansion to Vietnam in 2009 and Cambodia in 2019. She also oversaw the acquisition of the Sabah market in 2015.

She was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Rampai-Niaga in 2011, and subsequently in January 2019, she assumed the role as the Chief Executive Officer of our Group, where she was responsible for the overall strategic direction and management of the Group’s business operations. A notable contribution in her tenure as CEO was the listing of InNature on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia in 2020, and subsequently as a constituent of both the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia and FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia Shariah indexes.

As part of the Group’s succession plans, Molly relinquished her role as CEO in July 2023, and remains as Executive Director to focus on the group’s expansion plans, as well as sustainability and corporate governance. With her unwavering belief that business can be a force for good, Molly continues to drive our group’s ESG agenda.

Jennifer Bay Hui Kiang
Chief Executive Officer

Qualification:

Jennifer graduated with a Bachelor of Business (Honours) degree from Nanyang Technology University, Singapore in 1998.

Experience:

With over 25 years of experience, Jennifer started her career with Giordano Singapore as a Marketing and Advertising Executive prior to joining L’Oreal Singapore in 2001. Throughout the journey with L’Oreal, Jennifer demonstrated her dedication in spearheading multiple beauty and personal care brands with her teams in several countries. In 2015, she advanced her portfolio to oversee 4 luxury brands of the professional division under L’Oreal, across 14 APAC countries.

In December 2022, Jennifer joined us as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer before taking on the role of Chief Executive Officer in July 2023 to advance the Group’s journey towards sustainable success in all aspects.

Chia Cang Yang
Chief Financial Officer

Qualification:

Cang Yang graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from Universiti Utara Malaysia in 2006. He is a member of CPA Australia since 2011, and a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants since 2012.

Experience:

Cang Yang has 17 years of experience in the field of finance and accounting. He started his career with Ernst & Young Malaysia as an Audit Associate in June 2006, and left as Audit Manager in November 2012 to begin his career in the retail industry as the Finance Manager of Parkson Retail Asia Limited (“Parkson”), a Singapore listed department store operator with presence in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam. He was subsequently appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of Parkson from January 2017 to October 2018.

Cang Yang joined us as the Director of Corporate Finance & Governance in November 2018 and advanced to his current position as Chief Financial Officer since May 2019. He is responsible for the overall finance and corporate functions of our Group including financial reporting, risk management, governance, corporate planning, and investor relations.

Mae Chan Nian Mei
Chief Revenue Officer

Qualification:

Mae graduated with a Diploma in Professional Training and Development from the University of Malaya, Malaysia in 2001. She also obtained an Advanced Certificate in Marketing from Sunway College, Malaysia, in 1998.

Experience:

Mae started her career in 1990 as a Marketing Executive in KFC Holdings Malaysia Berhad, and was responsible for executing marketing and customer relationship events. She left KFC Holdings Malaysia Berhad in 1992 to join Rampai-Niaga as an Assistant Shop Manager tasked to oversee store sales growth, achievement of key performance targets, store operations including service standards, store display and inventory control.

In 1995, Mae progressed into our Learning and Development department and was promoted to become the Learning and Development Manager in 2002 and subsequently as the Retail Manager in 2006. Her 29 years of experience working in our Group entailing shop operations and staff training, has given her immense experience and expertise in managing retail sales, store operations, talent development and customer service.

In 2011, Mae was appointed as the Chief Revenue Officer of Rampai-Niaga and subsequently took up her current position as Chief Revenue Officer of our Group in 2019.

Dexter Foong Chuen Hsien
General Manager – Malaysia

Qualification:

Dexter Foong Chuen Hsien (“Dexter”) completed both the Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Master in Science (Hons) in Organisational Behaviour from London School of Economics & Political Science in 2012 and 2014, respectively.

Experience:

In 2013, Dexter started his career with Rampai-Niaga as our Loyalty Manager to spearhead the development and implementation of loyalty application. In addition, he successfully led the team to enhance the strategy on targeted communication and recruitment of new members.

In 2017, Dexter joined Adventuria Sdn Bhd as the Business Development Manager to facilitate the establishment and conceptualization of The Rift, the largest virtual reality based attraction in South East Asia. Throughout the tenure with Adventuria, Dexter also led the operational streamlining initiatives which noticeably improved the operational efficiency and productivity.

He rejoined Rampai-Niaga in 2020 to further improve our customer experience by implementing new customer service system to improve overall response time and better integrating customer’s feedback in our business strategy. Dexter was promoted as the Head of Commercial & Supply Chain in 2022 to contribute his expertise in process improvement on inventory and distribution management. In 2023, he took up the role of Director of Corporate Development to plan and execute new business projects as well as driving the investor relations efforts to ensure the investor sentiment remained high during a challenging business period.

In 2024, Dexter advanced to his current role as General Manager to oversee the full business operations in Malaysia, and continue to drive the vision of business as a force for good.

Tran Ngoc Nhat Kha
General Manager – Vietnam and Cambodia

Qualification:

Tran Ngoc Nhat Kha (“Kha”) graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology, Vietnam in 2011.

Experience:

Prior to joining TBS Vietnam, Kha worked in marketing communication and branding roles for various international lifestyle and fashion brands.

In 2013, Kha began his journey with TBS Vietnam as a Senior Marketing Executive. He later progressed as the Marketing Manager in 2015 with his excellence in driving brand awareness, social media, product credibility as well as managing our e-commerce platform. In 2016, Kha was promoted as the Head of Marketing, Commercial and Digital of Vietnam and Cambodia with his responsibility extended to inventory management and growing our digital presence in both markets.

In 2023, Kha succeeded the role of General Manager of Vietnam and Cambodia, responsible for managing the full operations of our business in Vietnam and Cambodia. Kha continues to lead the team to build our brand as the No.1 ethical, innovative and pioneering beauty brand in the market.
