ABOUT US

InNature Berhad Group is a leading regional retailer of cosmetics and personal care products (“CPC”) carrying The Body Shop and Natura brands, with an extensive network of stores across West Malaysia, Sabah, Labuan, Vietnam and Cambodia.

We have garnered over 35 years of experience operating The Body Shop franchise business since our founder, Datin Mina Cheah opened our first store at Plaza Yow Chuan, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 1984. We were subsequently awarded the franchise for Vietnam in 2009, and for Cambodia in 2019.

The growth of our business is a reflection of our Group's efforts in building the brand equity of The Body Shop over the years, with the support of our Franchisor, The Body Shop International. Within the CPC industry in Malaysia, we are a leading mono-brand beauty retailer with a market share of 11%, based on total market sales of RM1.48 billion in 2018. In this segment, we are also the largest in terms of number of stores as at 31 December 2019 (Source : Frost & Sullivan Independent Market Research Report dated 10 January 2020). Pegged on the expected growth of the CPC industry in Malaysia as well as our track record in Vietnam, we are well-positioned to grow our market share in these countries, as well as to make inroads into Cambodia.

In February 2012, we became one of the first CPC brands in Malaysia to launch our e-commerce platform for the sale of The Body Shop products in Malaysia through The Body Shop’s website which we operate. We launched our e-commerce platform in Vietnam in March 2013, and in Cambodia in April 2020. We also retail TBS products via selected third-party online stores such as Hermo, Tiki, Lazada and Shopee.

In collaboration with Natura Cosmeticos SA, we introduced the Natura beauty brand to Malaysia in 2019 to expand our brand portfolio as well as to strengthen our leadership and market share in the naturals sector of the CPC industry. We have launched the Natura e-commerce platform in August 2019, and have commenced social selling operations of the business. After a brief stint operating a pop-up store at Sunway Pyramid, Selangor, our first Natura permanent store at Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur has begun operation in June 2020.

We aim to grow our business in Malaysia, Vietnam and Cambodia, by extending our leadership of the “naturals” sector of the cosmetics and personal care market through providing natural holistic solutions to our customers, whilst developing the social enterprise of all stakeholders.

We have always believed that our Group has an active role to play in our society, because through our points-of-sale and our social media, we are able to reach out to consumers to create awareness on social and environmental issues and to speak out and effect social and environmental change.
